Internet Marketing

Search Engine Marketing Experts in Raleigh, NC

Internet marketing is a fairly broad term that can mean a lot of different things to different people. Our internet marketing services center around these 4 areas:

  1. Search Engine Optimization
  2. Link Building
  3. Sponsored or Pay-per-click (PPC) Advertising
  4. Social Media

Each area can be utilized to drive more traffic to your website, but they each have their strengths and weaknesses, and a robust online marketing strategy typically utilizes all four areas.

Search Engine Optimization

Search engine optimization (SEO) is simply the process of making sure that when a search engine scans your site, they get an accurate idea of what your organization does, sells, serves, etc. Many people have no idea that their website is doing such a poor job of describing to search engines what their business should be ranking for. Read more about SEO here.

Link Building

Search engines place a very large emphasis on who links to your website to determine how reputable your page is and where they should rank it in the search results for a particular key phrase. “Link building” works hand-in-hand with SEO to get your website to rank on the “natural or “organic” search results which are located on the left of the page of search results.

Sponsored or Pay-per-click (PPC) Advertising

Sponsored advertising essentially means that you must pay someone for your company’s ad placement there. This is typically referring to advertising on search results pages on Google, Bing, Yahoo, Facebook or another website in your industry that gets a lot of traffic. Some key advantages include fairly easy setup, great statistics, and very fast results. The disadvantage is you pay for it, and your placement is on the right side of the screen, typically, where people may not focus as much attention on. Read more on PPC Advertising here.

Social Media & Networking

Social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube, etc. have become a major force in how consumers identify with a company or organization. Taking advantage of social media puts your business in front of consumers on a regular basis and also allows you to learn more about them and what they want. Effective use of social media can turn your customers into avid fans. Sounds good, right? Read more about our Social Media Management services here.

Our Internet Marketing Process:
The 5 “D’s”

  1. Define
There’s a lot of different definitions floating around out there for internet marketing terms like “SEO.” Before getting started we want to make sure you understand what the terminology means so that you know how to compare our services to others and also have a better understanding of how internet marketing works.
  2. Decide
There’s a lot of tools in the internet marketing toolbox, as noted above. Deciding what the best fit is for your situation requires some thinking. Each method has it’s specific advantages over others and also the pricing is different so figuring out what will work best for your circumstances are critical.
  3. Do
Once the work that needs to be done is decided upon – we have to do it. Duh :-)
  4. Determine
No internet marketing work should be without keen reporting to make sure that you know what the results are from the work you are getting done. Reports can go out as often as you need them and we’ll help to make sense of the numbers for you, if you’d like.
  5. Duplicate
Once reports indicate that progress is being made towards your goals (increased leads, sales or discussion) the process needs to be repeated in order to continue to build more results.
